Webinar/Workshop Committee Volunteer Opportunity

Are you interested in meeting other members who love finding new topics to explore for our community? Please join us at our next orientation meeting for volunteers. We are dedicated to educating our members through exciting webinars and fun workshops.  

What is the Webinar and Workshop Committee?  A group of W Connection members/volunteers who will work together to discuss, research, evaluate, and select timely topics and speakers for the W Connection Zoom Webinars and Workshops.

What is the difference between a Webinar and a Workshop?

The Webinars are a series of presentations by professionals/ experts on a chosen topic we decide will benefit our members.  How do we know?  We ask our members!  Examples in the past have been: Mindfulness, Financial Investing, Effects of Bereavement on health, storytelling, and our Women's Wellness Series.  Currently, the Webinars are scheduled on the fourth Tuesday of the month,   An overall theme of wellness for widows is emphasized.

The Workshops are more informal, and provide a more relaxed format where the speaker, usually a member, a friend of a member, or someone we know, shares a creative talent, or strategy to help manage the stress of widowhood and COVID Examples in the past have been, Haiku writing, The Joy of Gardening, Yoga, Using your iPhone as a Camera.
