WELLNESS WEBINAR
"Forest Bathing for Health and Wellness" with Dr. Paul Jarris
Please join us for our next exciting webinar by Dr. Paul Jarris as he explains the value of Forest Bathing for our health and wellness.
Dr. Jarris a Family Physician, an associate professor of Family Medicine at Georgetown College of Medicine, and former Commissioner of Health for the State of Vermont.
In this webinar, Dr. Jarris will teach us all about Forest Bathing, a practice that emerged in Japan in the 1980s as a physiological and psychological exercise called shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere”).
In addition, Paul dedicates his very busy schedule as a frequent guide for “the Unloneliness Walk", a forest-bathing experience at the National Arboretum in Washington, DC. The walk includes some added conversation about the science of loneliness and the possible ways that experiencing beauty and connecting with nature can be an antidote to suffering from grief, loneliness, and even heartbreak.
We are thrilled that in addition to presenting this Wellness Webinar to us, Paul has also offered to be our personal guide for an exclusive W Connection STEP-OUT "Unloneliness Walk" at the National Arboretum in Washington DC on Sunday October 1st.
Be sure to register for one or both of these special events!
