Young Widows - Peer-Led Support Topic Meeting (First Tuesday of Month) - June

06/03/2025 07:30 PM - 08:30 PM ET

Description

Peer Led Support Topic Meetings

Our topic this month is: "Creating a Connected Life"

As widows, we know that a connected life is a critical part of rebuilding our lives--providing a network of support, understanding, and valuable friendships.

We will start these meetings with an introduction about the three "circles of connection." These circles are not fixed or mutually exclusive. People move in and out of them at different times, depending on a variety of circumstances. And they all play a vital role in our social and emotional health.

  • The Outer Circle, representing our acquaintances,
  • The Middle Circle, representing our more casual friends,
  • The Inner Circle, representing our strongest bonds, our confidantes.

This sense of connection empowers us to envision the future and take meaningful steps forward. We warmly invite you to join us this month as we explore the relationships we cherish, the new bonds we seek, and the ways we can cultivate a deeply connected life.

In preparation for these meetings, our Topic Committee volunteers suggest listening to Dawn's Video and bring paper and pen or your W Connection Journal to the meetings.
