with Integrative Psychiatrist Dr. Misty Embrey

This month's Wellness Webinar features Dr. Misty Embrey from the George Washington University Center for Integrative Medicine in Washington, DC. As a trained integrative psychiatrist, she approaches our emotional health with the understanding that our minds, bodies, and spirits are intimately linked and influence one another.

Dr. Embrey will help us develop a better understanding of how to find peace amidst grief, especially during the holiday season.

In addition to practicing traditional psychiatry, Misty is also a trained homeopath, certified yoga teacher, and has completed courses in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. She has expertise in drawing from multiple healing traditions to help clients move through grief, loss and trauma as well as many other stressors that impact wellness.

Dr. Embrey graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University;
finished medical school at the Frank H Netter MD School of Medicine; completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Wisconsin; and completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Kim received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fresno, and her Master of Arts in Counseling from California State University, Long Beach.
