🗓️ Update: Peer-Led Topic Meeting for Young Widows

Our monthly Peer-Led Topic Meeting—created with younger widows in mind—now meets on the third Wednesday of each month.

Come Join Us! You decide if this circle feels right for you. We'd be honored to have you join!

Peer Led Support Topic Meetings

Join fellow widows in a safe, supportive space to explore a monthly theme together. Led by peers who understand the journey, these meetings offer connection, shared wisdom, and practical tools for healing and growth.

Whether you're newly widowed or years into your path, this is a place to feel seen, heard, and supported.

Our topic this month is: "Advice Exchange"

As widows, we often find ourselves facing tasks, decisions, and challenges we never expected to navigate alone — or that we once handled with our partners. Tonight, we come together as a community to share those experiences, learn from one another, and find comfort in knowing we don’t have to figure everything out by ourselves

The W Connection was founded on the principle of widows helping widows. In our shared stories, we discover solutions, strength, and the healing power of connection. This month, take a moment to think about a challenge you’re facing --something practical, emotional, or simply unfamiliar-- that you’d like to bring to the group for advice.

When we choose to show up, take a risk, speak honestly about what we’re struggling with, we find comfort, perspective, and solutions in one another’s stories.

Co-Leaders:  Anjalee,  Laura & Michelle

"Being a GEM volunteer allows me to return and share the kindness, support, and encouragement that other widows may need. I sincerely wish that every widow can find happiness again.".

Anjalee Dave:  Zooming in from Queens, NY

About me:  I am a mother, physician, widow, wife and a different woman.

Interests:   I  was a part of W Connection during its infancy, 13 years ago. The organization and women I met, were crucial to my ability to build a new life. This inspiration, sense of community and support has been with me since.

Works well with:  Young widows.  I was 37 when my husband died of cancer and our son was almost two. The path to creating my present life was challenging but I can proudly say that I am genuinely happy and fulfilled once again.

Year of loss : 2010

"The support of other widows was a lifeline for me when I lost my husband; as a "GEM volunteer, it is my goal to now be a source of hope and encouragement to other widows new on this journey."

Laura Fallon: Zooming in from Souteast Florida

About Me: Registered Nurse in Neonatal Intensive care, but I loved being a stay-at-home mom to two daugters.

Interests: Yoga, boating and even some golf.  I recently joined a crossfit gym.

Works well with:  Young Widows.  I was suddenly widowed 2 months before my 40th birthday.
