Second Tuesday of Month (STM) - Peer-Led Support Topic Meeting - AUGUST
Description
Our topic this month is: "Creating a Connected Life"
At the W Connection, you will often hear us quoting Vivek Murthy. He is the the US Surgeon General who is laser-focused on the importance of social connection to our physical and emotional health.
In fact, Murthy's book, Together, was the impetus behind our community's mantra that "We believe in the healing power of social connection." We know that a connected life is a critical part of rebuilding our lives--providing a network of support, understanding, and valuable friendships.
In this month's topic meetings we will delve into some of Dr. Murthy's research as we discuss our current connections, the need for new connections, and how we can create a satisfying connected life.
This is a very valuable topic for our community. We know first-hand how our journeys towards rebuilding our lives is enhanced by caring social connection. This connectedness enables us to think about the future and move forward.
We really hope you will join us.
